Limited, Life-time Warranty
Warranty coverage for HOMEX^TM siding products*

Because expert care is taken in the manufacturing process to ensure that our products perform to the highest standards, HOMEX^TM siding, from Style Crest®, warrants the performance of it’s vinyl siding, soffit and accessories to the individual(s) (“Original Owner(s)”), who owns the property to which the Products were applied) (the “property”) against defects in material and workmanship for as long as the Original Owner(s) are living and are the owners of the Property.

In the event that there is more than one Original Owner(s), this limited warranty will remain in effect as long as any one of the Original Owner(s) is living and owns an interest in the Property.

If the Products fail to be free from defects in material and workmanship during the applicable warranty period, STYLE CREST will, upon notification in accordance with the claims procedure listed in this document and upon validation by STYLE CREST of the defects by inspection, either repair, replace or refinish, at its option, not to exceed original purchase price of material and installation.

This limited warranty may be transferred to subsequent homeowner(s). The new homeowner(s) may receive limited warranty coverage for a period of 75 years from the date of the original installation provided that they supply written notice to STYLE CREST within 30 days after the transfer of ownership. Failure to notify STYLE CREST of the transfer shall relieve STYLE CREST of any further obligation. Please review the Warranty Transfer Section of this limited warranty for further details.

In the event the Property is owned other than by an individual(s), including, without limitation, a corporation, unincorporated association, school, church, government or public entity, the warranty period shall be 50 years (non-prorated) from the original date of installation.

Limitations on Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty provided herein is subject to the following terms and conditions:
Coverage Exclusions and Limitations
This limited warranty does not cover damage of any kind resulting from improper installation, accidental damage, settlement of the substrate structure (such as distortion, warping, or cracking), structural shrinkage, alteration of the structure, fire, flood, lightning, ice, hail, hurricane, tornado, windstorm, earthquake, or other acts of God, acts of war or terrorism, vandalism, harmful chemicals, fumes or vapors, misuse, abuse, normal weathering* or wear and tear, mildew accumulation, any owner(s) failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance of the Products** and damage from foreign objects or other causes beyond the control of STYLE CREST. This limited warranty shall not apply to Products which have been painted or the surface altered in any way not authorized in writing by STYLE CREST.

Limited Fade Warranty STYLE CREST also warrants to you that the Products will not excessively fade. “Excessive Fading” is in defined as in excess of a Delta E of 4 Hunter unites, as determined by STYLE CREST .

* Normal weathering is defined as exposure to ultraviolet light and extremes of weather (including atmospheric pollution and acid rain) which will cause any colored surface to fade, darken, chalk, or acquire dirt or stains.

** STYLE CREST Vinyl can be easily maintained by using a soft brush and a mild detergent. Refer to the Vinyl Siding Institute’s website – www.vinylsiding.org for complete cleaning instructions.

If the Products covered cannot be repaired, replaced or refinished, after a reasonable number of attempts at such repairs, replacements or refinishing, STYLE CREST shall provide a refund of the (original) purchase price. STYLE CREST is providing the Original Owner(s) an express lifetime limited warranty under the provisions of the Magnuson-Moss Federal Warranty Act. STYLE CREST cannot and shall not be liable for a breach of any other written or oral express warranties, without limitation, those given by dealers, contractors, applicators, or distributors of the Products.

Any Implied Warranties Imposed By Law, Such As The Implied Warranties Of Merchantability And Fitness For A Particular Purpose, Are Limited In Time To The Duration Of This Express Warranty. STYLE CREST Shall Not Be Liable For Any Consequential Damages Or Incidental Damages for breach of any express, written, oral or implied warranty on the Products. The Owner(s) EXCLUSIVE REMEDY shall be for repair, replacement, or refinishing at STYLE CREST's option, only in terms stated in this limited warranty.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

STYLE CREST reserves the right to discontinue or make changes in any of its vinyl siding, soffits and accessories. If the Products covered by this warranty are not available, STYLE CREST shall have the right to substitute a product, that in STYLE CREST's sole discretion, is of equal quality and similar appearance.

This limited warranty stands in lieu of all other oral or written warranties. No representative of STYLE CREST or its distributors or dealers is authorized to make any changes or modifications to this limited warranty.

Registration of the Limited Warranty
This limited warranty is valid only after the Warranty Registration Card is completed and signed by the Original Owner(s), and installing contractor, and received by STYLE CREST within 30 days of the installation of the Product or original sale of a newly constructed home. Failure to notify STYLE CREST of the registration shall relieve STYLE CREST of all obligations stated in this limited warranty.

Claims Procedure
To obtain performance under this limited warranty, the Original Owner(s) shall notify STYLE CREST, of any manufacturing defects within the warranty period and within a reasonable period of time after discovering the defect. Claims cannot be pursued if this limited warranty has not been registered with STYLE CREST.

Warranty Transfer
This limited warranty is transferable by the Original Owner(s) to subsequent owner(s) of the Property provided STYLE CREST receives a written notice of transfer of the Property within (30) days after the date of transfer of ownership.

Failure to notify STYLE CREST of the transfer shall relieve STYLE CREST of any further obligations stated in this limited warranty.
